Despite already having a largely natural property on Muldrew Lake in Gravenhurst, the Crawford Family wanted to further naturalize the majority of their small activity area located along their waterfront. The area is dominated by a tall wood retaining wall that the Crawfords wanted to soften by planting a variety of shrubs and wildflowers along the land side of the wall, with the aim of reducing the impacts of runoff from the steep slope leading to it, creating wildlife habitat, and beautifying the area.
